Attend the MUSIC Meetings: Generally the second Tuesday of the month (during term) at 7pm.
Mosman High has a thriving music community where students can develop their musical talents as a member of our ensemble program. The Ensemble Program is open to all students and caters for the diversity of talent and musical interest. Whether you like to play an instrument, be part of a band or sing in a choir there is room to express your musical tastes.
The Music Ensembles Program is an extra-curricular activity that provides students with the opportunity to extend their music skills and knowledge in an ensemble setting. The Music Committee supports the Music Department with the management and operations of the Ensembles including fee collection, employment of conductors, event and fundraising activities to support the music program and music staff with aspects of the ensemble administration.
Professional conductors and school music teachers direct the ensembles which rehearse once a week usually before school.
There are opportunities for parents to assist with projects, fundraising and other support which will be communicated to you. You can find out more details about the Ensembles Program on the Mosman High Music website or email firstname.lastname@example.org
All parents are welcome to attend. The committee meets on the Tuesday prior to the P&C meeting (3rd Thursday of each month).
The committee collects ensemble membership fees to cover payment of ensemble directors, sheet music, competition fees and excursion costs such as replacement teachers and buses.
From time-to-time the committee also helps co-ordinate fundraising for the purchase of new instruments, supporting initiatives such as a piano accompanist at lunchtimes, subsidised accompanists for HSC Music and overseas tour costs.
